The sun just began to raise, casting a soft, golden hue over the sprawling lawns of our club. Amidst the chirping of early morning birdy and the gentle rustling of leaves, a group of dedicated members gathered at the Pavilion, unrolling their Yoga mats with a sence of anticipation and tranquility. "Yoga at the club has become an integral part of my routine, "member shared with a smile". It is not first about the physical exercise; it is a holistic approach to wellness that encompasses mind, body and spirit.
Jubilee Hall: The Jubilee Hall was constructed in 1983 and new chambers were added in 1984. When the old club building was renovated, food counters and gazebos were built nearby and the Jubilee Hall Ground has been levelled. Well lit with high-mast lamps, it is the perfect place to conduct functions and other programmes of the Club. The ground area has been expanded to provide parking space for about 200 cars.
Health Club: The Health Club was inaugurated on August 24, 1993 and is being used by the young and old members alike. It was renovated in 1994 for the convenience of its members. Gym: The Club boasts of a Gym equipped with two treadmills. The facilities were upgraded by adding heavy duty commercial type STEX 7000 series treadmill, two new exercise bicycles and a play pen for kids, which are fully sponsored. Two new treadmills were purchased on September 29, 2004.
Dining hall: The Dining hall is located in the main club building. Members are served breakfast, lunch and dinner on a la carte basis. A new restaurant-cum-bar is being added on the ground floor adjoining the main lounge with a seating capacity of 40.
Air-conditioned Pub: The Pub, opened way back on November 11, 1993 is a favourite hangout amongst our members.
Home Theatre, DVD Player: A home theatre with DVD player was installed in the room behind the reception area in the main building.
The Lawns: The Lawns were redone and a new carpet lawn was laid with a Bar, sponsored by Seagrams and other sponsors. This is the preferred haunt of all our members, especially in the evenings as the band plays popular numbers in the soft light of the new lighting system, set up in August 2002. New lawns were inaugurated on January 26, 2005.
To commemorate the centenary year of the Club, the new function hall was named the 'Centenary Auditorium'. On the occasion of the Centenary year, the glimpses from the past as written by Capt. E.H. Glassup and senior barman Francis, were reproduced in the Auditorim, which has a seating capacity of 1500.
Library: A very spacious Library with an ethnic look was built to house a number of books and periodicals on Fiction, Literature, History, Arts, Cooking etc. in Telugu & English.
Beauty Parlour:Waltair Club has its own Beauty Salon both for Men and Women, with expert beauticians working their magic on our members.
Open Air auditorium:An open air auditorium was built with a circular road to make good use of the land facing the Eastern Gate. It was opened to accommodate more people and to provide a spacious parking lot. Movies are screened on every Friday for the members.
Reception Block: The Reception Block with waiting lounge, spacious office and computer room was inaugurated on January 26, 1995, while a spacious library with an ethnic look was also built for the use of the members.
Supper Garden:A new, large (4,800 sqft) Supper Garden was created with new flooring waterfall, cast iron lamp poles, service counter and new toilets. A new scooter parking lot was also set up near the Supper Garden and the existing ones at the Gym Deck and Jubilee Hall were extended for the convenience of our members.
Office: All administration smoothly running from this Club Office. This building constructed beside the main gate.
Yes Bank:Yes Bank opened their Counter on 20.01.2012 for collection of Monthly Bills payment for the use of Club Members only and also installed an ATM Machine.
