The sun just began to raise, casting a soft, golden hue over the sprawling lawns of our club. Amidst the chirping of early morning birdy and the gentle rustling of leaves, a group of dedicated members gathered at the Pavilion, unrolling their Yoga mats with a sence of anticipation and tranquility. "Yoga at the club has become an integral part of my routine, "member shared with a smile". It is not first about the physical exercise; it is a holistic approach to wellness that encompasses mind, body and spirit.
All categories other than Corporates and Members' children:
a) Age – 25 years and above.
b) A Graduate of a recognized University or a qualified Officers of the Merchant Navy or Defence Services are eligible to apply for Membership of the Club and should be assessed under the Income Tax Act with a declared gross income of not less than Rs.5,00,000/- per annum in each of the preceding two years. The Applicant, if salaried, should be a Class I Officer for the last two years.
A candidate for Corporate Membership shall be a corporate Company with a Net Worth (Paid Up Share Capital + Reserves - Miscellanies Expenditure not Written Off) of not less than Rs.10,00,00,000-00 (Rupees Ten Crores). The nominee shall be of at least 25 years of age and shall fulfill the above criteria as in I (b).
Members' children:Only such children of Members who has become a Member before 01.07.2007 and who have been Regular/Life Members of the Club for at least Ten Years are eligible under “Member Children” Quota. Moreover, the child has to be either an Associate Member for a minimum period of 5 years or should have completed the age of 25 years to be considered for election as a Regular Member under the MC Quota.
A candidate for an Associate Membership shall be a child of a Permanent Member (Regular, Life & Spouse of deceased Members only) and between the ages of 18 and 25 years.

Registration of membership application: Applications for Membership shall be, in such form and at such cost as may be prescribed by the committee from time to time, issued only on the written request of any Permanent Member of Waltair Club. The candidate shall be proposed by one Member who has been a Permanent Member of the Club for a period of at least 5 years and seconded by another Member who has also been a Permanent Member of the Club for a minimum period of 5 years both of who shall not have any amount due to the club as on that date.
Entrance Donation and Monthly Subscription: Applications duly filled shall be registered after receiving an interest free deposit of Rs.50,000/- in the case of Regular, Life and Corporate membership and Rs.5,000/- in the case of Regular (Members children). The deposit made by such applicant, who is elected as a member, will be adjusted against Entrance Donation as pertinent at time of his election as Member. The requisite ‘Refundable-interest-free deposit’ may be hiked from time to time and the pending applicants shall pay the difference amount.
Any applicant whose application is pending, if he so desires, shall be able to withdraw his application and thereafter the deposit amount shall be refunded to him. The interest free deposit will also be refunded to such applicants whose application is not found acceptable or who is not granted membership.
NOTE: Admission in to Club as Member vests entirely with the Club. Forwarding the form of Application, payment of any fee or Deposit or being called for Introduction to the Committee shall not ensure grant of Membership. An Application for Membership may be rejected without assigning any reason. The Articles, Rules & Membership criteria and procedures are subject to amendments.
The herein notified sum towards Entrance Donation and Monthly Subscription are subject to revision.
No refund is made if the reservation is cancelled on the booked date. The members should pay the charges at the time of reservation or authorise the office to debit their account.
How to Apply? The application is to be filled-in online, printed, and after affixing signatures and photographs where necessary, submitted to the Secretary along with payment. You will first need to verify your e-mail address and mobile number to access the application form. You will receive a SMS message sent to the given mobile phone number (from Waltair Club) and an e-mail to the given e-mail address containing a form. Type the contents of the SMS into the email form and submit.
